Services
Antenatal Care
- All mothers can obtain the service either by come to the clinic, detected to be pregnant by medical officer.
- The service range from the aspect of promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative to pregnant mother.
1. Registration
- All mother must come to the clinic as soon as they find themself pregnant.
- Registration is made at the counter
2. Scope of service
- All mother is asked about their past and present antenatal history.
- JM's must use color code sticker on antenatal card according to the risk factor.
- Physical examination must be done by JM. (height, weight, abdomen fundus height,) cardiovascular, lung is done by AMO/ MO
- Every pregnant mother is given vitamin and mineral supplements such as Ferrous fumerate, Folic Acid, Vitamin C and B Complex.
- Every mother is given Anti Tenanus Toxoid vaccine by JM
- Every mother is given appointment date for their next visit according to scheddule
- Health talk and cooking demonstration is organized according to scheddule
- Home Visit for, high risk case and defaulted case.
- Birth delivery.
Postnatal care
- All mother that have gone trough birth process can obtain postnatal care.
- Service is range from the aspek of promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitation.
- Mothers which did not give birth at the clinic can also obtain the service by informing the staff within 24 hours after birth either by phone or come to the clinic themself.
Postnatal care in clinic.
- Registration of patient
- Physical examination ( weight, blood pressure, abdomen, vagina is done by JM.
- Follow up care is done according to need.
- Advice, counselling and health education is given to mother.
- Family planning/ birth control advice also given. Method of family planning also given to patient.
Postnatal care at home ( home visit)
- Home visit is done at KK Roban esspecially to the high risk case.
- Postnatal care activity given to the mother and child is according to the check list provided.
- Problematic case usually reffered to MO by JM.
- Follow up care is done according to need.
- Appointment date for postnatal care at clinic is given.
- Family planning advise and method explained to the patient.
Child health
- Children from the age of 0-6 years old within operational area.
- Service included the aspect or promotive, preventive, curative.
Registration
- Registration is made at the counter.

- All babies and children must have physical examination ( weight, height, length, head circumference according to age and history of nutrition intake is also documented.
- Vaccination is given according to age and scheddule.
- Treatment and referral is done according to need.
- Advice, counselling and health education is given to parents either individually or by group.
- Follow up care and home visit is also done according to case.
Introduction.
MCH/ KKIA ( Klinik Kesihatan Ibu dan Anak) is a unit devoted to give heathcare to antenatal, postnatal mothers and childrens.
