According to old folk tales. in the old days Roban was simply known as Batang Seblak then it was change to Roban. The word Roban come from the word Nek Uban. According to old folks Nek Uban is an old man who live at the junction of Roban. He was called Nek Uban because he has a lot grey hair on his head. People started to call the place Nek Oban but then the pronunciation changed to Roban. So the name Roban stick to the place until now.. |
History of Klinik Kesihatan Roban.
Klinik kesihatan Roban or so called KK Roban has been around for about 40 years now. The clinic was founded in 1964. It was a goverment clinic built in the smalltown of Roban to serve and give health services to the locals.
KK Roban was first built in 1964 across the Seblak River near to Kampung Melayu Roban. At that time the OPD and MCH department was not in the same building. MCH has it own building at Jalan Baloi also across Seblak River. The clinic was moved and renovated severals timed before it was finally built on it current location near a local school SMK KALAKA.
The current building was built in 1988 and started it operation in 1989. It has also been renovated severals time. The most recent renovation was done in 2007.
